Good service, delicious food. Pancakes were big and fluffy, my tablemate got stuffed waffles and adored it. A great hearty breakfast before a day of activity.
We were quickly seated by a woman who acted like she didn't want to be there. I ordered a short stack of blueberry pancakes. They came out quickly but I was sadly disappointed as I took my first bite. Probably the most bland pancakes I've ever eaten. The word "Pancake" shouldn't even be in the name of this establishment if they have such a poor representation of it. The waitress forgot my side of sausage and kindly got it for me. It was better than the pancakes but was overpriced. I do not recommend this place.
Great service and food. Lots of seating so the waits are limited during busy hours. Definitely a must do when visiting Old Forge
Excellent, friendly, warm service. Generous portion kids menu. I had strawberry waffles. A wonderful splurge. Love the homey, old fashioned atmosphere. Highly recommend. Sorry to see it is for sale
Just okay. I guess it's my fault for expecting more than what we got in Old Forge, NY. They have two entrances on both sides of the building and lines cue in both places for tables. The guy that seemed to be in charge (working in his best NY Giants Tshirt) struggled to manage seating from both sides of the room and seemed to be annoyed to even have to be working. There was no friendly greeting. When I asked for a table of 4, their retort was "Is everyone here" in a rather rude tone (meanwhile my family was right behind me as my elderly mother-in-law walks quite slowly). It appeared that they were getting a table ready but there was no, "Sure! Let me just clear a table for you and you'll get seated right away". The food was edible but nothing to rave about but it was slow coming out. Their menus are gross - like they haven't been wiped down in a decade. Their restroom is not ADA accessible and their restroom garbage can was disgustingly dirty. But they were packed so they must be one of the few options in town for their guests to tolerate their inattentive and unfriendly service environment.
