We aren't in old forge for the week and we're so excited to see a new bakery in town! That is an area they have been lacking! My dad picked up 2 of the individual monkey breads for the 8 of us to split as a treat. They were SO dry, they were hard to swallow! They looked delicious but didn't have the gooeyness monkey bread needs. The flavor was off and they were fresh this morning but had a two day old texture to them. I'm disappointed!

We just visited, and they have children working the counter. They actually ignored us standing there so they could gossip! It was insane! The pumpkin bread was absolutely disgusting! Wont be returning.

This place is a gem. I have eaten here a several times and each time the food was delicious. Bakery items were delicious. Cozy, homey atmosphere. Good food prepared with attention to the best ingredients, and love.
Enjoyed a delicious ham and swiss quiche, greens and a slice of bread on the side. The iced coffee was also superb! I decided to buy a loaf of Stuart bread to take home- it was hot and fresh, and I am enjoying it each day- texture and flavor are specially rich! The ambiance at the bistro is delightful- tables are old singer sewing machines! I took a photo of Lucy and Bob, too.
