Great food, friendly staff. My 3 and 5 year-olds liked it as much as their parents. The burgers were really good and they offer "Snappy Grillers" and other Hofmann sausages which my wife and I really miss since moving out of New York State. It helped us feel like we were home on our vacation.
Love this place. Owners are very friendly and the food is great. Reasonable prices for the amount of food. Highly recommend this place when you are in Old Forge.
The dogs here are truly unique, from the high quality meats (I know -- in a hot, right?!) to the especially tasty, spicy and sometimes very hot local made sauces which you can try and then buy. The fries are great too, although I can't eat those as much as I'd like since I'm not akin to fried food like when I was in college. The convenient location in town can be reached on any walk through the village and easily accessed from the community beach. Being staffed by the proprietor, you are ensured a positive experience, and if you ask, a dose of local lore to round out your meal. Reasonably spacious ~20 person dining room as well as outdoor seating with lake view.
Food is great and service is awesome. Only downside is that it's cash only but it's hardly the only place in Old Forge like that and there's an ATM inside.
