Great staff and wonderful food. Perfect portions. Not like some places that try to drown you in food. Surprising appetizers and delicious entrees. We've been many times and highly recommend. Reservations are usually necessary although they can often accommodate you at the bar if there are only 2 or 3.
The menu is a nice departure from the typical "bar food" that you find in the area. Interesting vegetarian options; salmon cooked perfectly to my requested under-doneness...crispy skin and medium rare flesh. Good choices for wines by the glass . Atmosphere casual..offers outdoor seating.
Didn't give 5th star since the shrimp first course was very heavily salted.
The marinated sirloin was fantastic. Service was great. I highly recommend this cafe.
Food was excellent. I had the duck special and it was cooked as requested. We sat outside and had the patio to ourselves. Pleasant evening.
This restaurant would do well in any large city, but is tucked in the Adirondacks instead. I drive 1.5 hours to come here, because it reminds me of food I can get back home in Seattle. I love how fresh everything is - it is all cooked to order and the flavor combinations are so good. My husband was skeptical about driving 1.5 hours to eat at a restaurant until he had a bite of his steak, which he says was "life-changing". Thanks, 5 Corners!
