Frankie's was one of the greatest resuaraunt experiences I've ever had. Service was great and the waitress was constantly at our table making sure we were well taken care of. The food was heavy and outstanding. The chicken was perfectly cooked and crispy/tender. It had a family feel.
We have been eating at Frankies for at least 16 years. The food is delicious and most important to me, it is consistent. Frankie and his wife Tina always make us feel like family. It is usually extremely busy, so expect a wait. There is a large bar to make the wait easier. The staff is friendly and helpful and plentiful. If you want excellent Italian food this is the place in the central ADK!
There were 8 of us. The meat balls in everyone's food were barely warm. I had a pasta dish off the specials menu, and it tasted very bland. Food is an average $22 per person at the end of the meal. Definitely not worth the price. Plus a tip. Our waitress was also very stuck up and strait up rude. The place is very dark, barely any lighting which is also unenjoyable. The restrooms are very clean at least.
One of the best meals that my fiancé or I have had in a long time. Would highly recommend.
I will never go there again! Water sucks. Even with lemon. Salad is a storebought mix. The dressing is really good. Bread was warm and good, but there were no bread plates. I ordered the $29.95 seafoof fra diavalo. What a dissappointment. Served in a cereal bowl. Almost no pasta. Sauce far from diavolo. Sent it back. It came out in the same small bowl with a few more strands of fettucini and a small container of pickled cherry pepper pieces. NOT MY IDEA OF A $30 PLATE.
