So many pros and just a few cons. First I want to add that this is NOT a remote wilderness campground....its NOT "Quiet" when busy and sites are NOT spaced out with lots of privacy, that being said we still had a great stay!! The staff was friendly and Ann who checked us in was in was very friendly and Accommodating when we returned and asked to be placed on a different tent site because the first one wasn't large enough for our two large tents. She moved us to site #619 (Helpful hint) when you check in and they go over all the rules about camping in black bear country PLEASE LISTEN!! They are not telling you this to scare you or because they are paranoid reboots repeating the same lines just for the fun of it....they really do have a lot of bears in the campground and when they say lock your car doors Every night do it!! These bears open car doors. I remembered to lock my doors Every night except the last night and a bear opened my car door to get the food I had in there and if I was a sound sleeper my car would have been destroyed!! So don't forget to put all food away and lock those doors. The bathrooms were nice and were clean and having the camp store was also a bonus. Fishing wasn't good because the weeds are chocking out the whole pond. I would like to see kayaks added to the boats that are available for rent. We also had deer every day walk through our campsite which was awesome! I will definitely be back again....maybe next time we will try a cabin or cottage because they locked nice and more bear proof ;)

Wow what a great campground. Beautiful facility. Tons of staff all happy to help, Cheap paddle boat and canoe rentals on the private lake. Great, clean restrooms and showers. Fun and challenging nature trail around the lake. Love this place. We WILL be back again and again.

This was my first time at this campground. The location in Old Forge is very convenient, very close to Water Safari. That is a huge plus. We booked a cottage and when we arrived it was clean and tidy. We were fortunate enough to get a site on the water, which had wonderful views. I saw another review that addressed roots and uneven sites. Yes, with ours being by the water we had those problems. But, there were a row of brand new cottages behind us that utilized the gravel driveway as the fire and grill area. I would like to come back for a longer stay to really enjoy what it can offer. I think this was a great campground for a family.

Since moving out of the area, we come to stay at the campground once a summer. When it's not busy, it's quiet, pleasant, & clean. When it's busy, it's noisy, the common areas are a mess, and there's not much privacy. We still love it, no matter what, and always have a good time during our stay. The staff is courteous and friendly. Service with a smile. Dint have to leave the campground for anything, since anything you might need is available on the grounds. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

This place has everything! It is the perfect place for kids. Spaces are somewhat large and mostly offset from each other. It seemed like there was always an activity going on. The office/store is fantastic. They have lots of staff and they were all knowledgeable and super friendly. Lots of trees. The place is huge so we had plenty of places to walk. As full as it was, everyone was quiet in the evening. You're missing out if you don't go here.
